Philly does not compare to LA in any aspect besides for having more history and a better skyline.
Overstatement much?
LA's wedging location between the pleasant pacific coast and desert affords it alot of advantages that Philly simply has no answer for, no question. That being said Philadelphia as a planned functional city blows the headlights off of LA. The architecture, the culture, the structure, the practicality of Philadlephia makes LA appear as a disjointed smog shrouded suburbanesque basketcase.
