I think I read somewhere how Houston is the most obese. DC (I live in the burbs) was ranked the fittest city or something one time.

In regards to this particular survey my current state Virginia is in the middle and unfortunately but not surprisingly my home state Georgia is at the bottom. Southern states in general are just not living as healthy as our northern friends.

Oooooooooooops.... but seems so. At least San Antonio:
"
For the last several years, San Antonio has been listed among the fattest cities in America by Men's Fitness magazine.
The bad news is that the city has made the list again this year; the worse news is that we remained in the same spot we were in last year, third, apparently having learned nothing from the 2008 ranking. "
'Fattest list' means S.A. has to attack obesity woes (http://www.mysanantonio.com/opinion/editorials/Fattest_list_means_SA_has_to_attack_obesity_woes.h tml - broken link)
I think that Texas is # 14 this year, no?

Southern folks we gotta get healthy hit the gym and leave the fryer alone. I say this as I munch on Popeyes fried chicken. HA! I don't count I'm too skinny and tried for years to gain weight with little success. So do as I say not as I do because I'm special.

Kudos to NJ.. #18... and it's the most populated state in the top 20.
"Strengths include a low prevalence of smoking at 14.7 percent of the population, a low prevalence of obesity at 23.5 percent of the population, a low infant mortality rate at 5.4 deaths per 1,000 live births, a high rate of high school graduation with 84.8 percent of incoming ninth graders who graduate within four years, a low occupational fatalities rate at 3.2 deaths per 100,000 workers and ready availability of primary care physicians with 144.1 primary care physicians per 100,000 population."

And I thought New Jersey was full of trashy criminals?... If ignorance was only gold!

Nope, not even close. Unless you're talking about that Men's Cosmo Magazine list from years back.
