The more height is not accurate, San Francisco has 44 buildings over 400 feet to Dallas' 27. And in terms of buildings over 200 feet, it's even more one-sided
But Dallas has more of the 700-900+. San Francisco has one major at 853, one at 772 and the rest in the 600s and 500s which gives it a bland wall effect with its 2 tallest sticking out the top in some angles. I like the SF skyline, I just find the Dallas skyscrapers and skyline more attractive with its varied heights, shapes and colors.

Yeah, I found the argument that SF is taller than Dallas because it has more short buildings to be rather odd.
200m & over:
Dallas: 7
SF: 3
Tallest:
Dallas: 281m
SF: 260m
SF has a beautiful skyline, especially if one considers the surrounding beauty. But Dallas is taller and its architecture more interesting.
Forget the scenery, I think SF wins easily by skyline alone.
I prefer San Francisco's skyline for the sheer scale of it - there are just so many more tall buildings in SF's skyline than Dallas'. It feels way more massive. Not to mention, it has much greater density.
This are kind of random angles that are missing most of SF skyline's trademarks, but notice the dense wall of buildings.
Me no likey.

why not? it showcases the complete package, a tall and sufficiently dense skyline surrounded by a lively walkable neighborhoods. north beach (which is in front of the financial district in yor first pic) is one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in the country and it's a fun place to live i'll tell you taht much.
much more impressive than anything dallas has to offer thats for sure.
Great pics, Dallaz. That 6th pic makes State-Thomas look sooooo planned, though.
