Probably San Francisco, what with the bridges. Seattle's a close second with its tall buildings and the Space Needle. Las Vegas is impressive, but only the strip - that's not really a skyline. LA does indeed have a pretty view from Griffith, but is otherwise too spread out. Portland and San Diego are too small. Denver's skyline looks better during the day, with the mountains behind it, as does Phoenix's and Albuquerque. So I'd go with San Francisco.
Define Western? Pacific Coast, Mountain West, what is the boundary...
Pacific Coast and Mountain West are BOTH western and since he said Western it could be either one so pick one of the handful of cities in the West, its not that big of a deal and no need to turn it into some bigger than what it is
Seattle's buildings are not that tall, and Los Angeles skyline is not spread out. Los Angeles is spread out, but not its skyline.
