lol, im sorry if i'm coming at you the wrong way but (more lol's) chicago has its share of "grimey" "urban" people......just sayin
I'm not saying Chicago doesn't have those people, I'm just saying that if thats what your looking for or used then NYC might be more attractive to you. Like a previous poster said that people in Texas tend to enjoy the laid attitude of Chicago because it's more of what they are used to.
No one claimed Chicagoans to be cleaner, they said the city is.
uhhh boy. *heavy sigh* some people will nitpick just anything. I hope you were just being funny.
The city doesn't clean itself, does it? Does the city also magically pollute itself less in the first place?

Had you considered there are reasons other than personal habits why one city might be cleaner than another? Population density being an obvious one; or the fact that Chicago has alleys to keep trash bins and dumpsters in -- even downtown --so they don't have to pile trash on the sidewalks at the end of the day, some of which get ripped open by critters and passing bicycles and stuff...

bek of the courage it took of the founding fathers. it wasnt easy finding a place colder than NYC and with more crime, but they did it. they forged ahead and made it happen.
