That looks like Boston so much it's not even funny.

The tallest building the second pic looks very similar to One Beacon Street...

Chicago is helped immensely by its grid system. Broadway cuts diagonally through the center of Midtown and there are numerous diagonal streets in Downtown. Not to mention that Central Park also helps to break up the continuity of Manhattan's urban canyons.

Dude, I know you're one of the few Orlando-advocates out there, but why would you even remotely mention Orlando in this thread of urban canyons...?! Suntrust's 440' building is a joke and our downtown has no livelihood...c'mon now.

Love the pics posted of Chi-town & NYC by everyone though! Gorgeous!!

St. Louis has some nice urban canyons. I'll attribute that to its age and the fact that when most of these buildings were built St. Louis was likely the 4th largest city after NYC, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Downtown St. Louis

AND FINALLY.................................

no doubt, sun set then looking down madison/adams etc looks freaky as the buildings are perfectly aligned, almost vertigo inducing. nyc has some of these too, i think the best are looking north from around nyu/chinatown areas...

also somebody, i think 18m mentioned the lasalle street reminded them of batman, that is where most of the scenes in dark knight was filmed.
