You aren't the only one. I HATE that building. There's something about it that reminds me of the wood paneling in a 1980s rumpus room.

OMG! Blasphemy!

I can't help myself, sorry. I have always loved those Ravinia buildings. I like just about all of his designs (Kevin Roche).

Different strokes.

^ Las Colinas has nowhere near the amount of retail as the Perimeter area. The Dallas Galleria area, LBJ at Dallas North Tollway in North Dallas is similar to the Perimeter.

BTW, I was saying that Las Colinas and Perimeter have skyrises in common.....IMO! So what in Atlanta would be similar to Las Colinas?

The Las Colinas area is more comparable to the Cumberland/Galleria area in Cobb.

From what I've seen coming in and out of DFW, I would agree.

Although I haven't been on the gound in the Metroplex outside of the airport, from the air I really haven't seen a comparable area to the Perimeter/Dunwoody area.

Dallas/Fort Worth has always looked sort of brown to me the few times I've passed through.....but I reallly don't like to critique any area I've never actually seen in person (and imo, airports don't count).

DFW does. I looks way more rural than Metro Atlanta.

I really dont think people realize how MASSIVE of a plan Fort Worth trinity river project is. This project is instantly going to bring more fortune 500 companies to relocate in the heart of Fort Worth. Will easily bring 10,000 plus new residents in the heart of the city. The Fort Worth skyline is on the verge of exploding. Fort Worth central business will more than double in size. Longtime Fort Worth residents have been waiting for this day. Fort Worth has been stocking up a lot of cash from the barnet Shale, increasing tax base from population explosion since 2000 and economy is doing well in the recession.

If Fort Worth becomes the bigger city in DFW, will Dallas still be more dominant?
