This is true. If any city is lacking major projects within its core is Houston. Projects up to scale with Atlantic station are usually only done out in the suburbs.
Isn't there a numerous amounts of revitalzation projects going on in H-Town?
kdogg817, excellent posts representing the Fort Worth side! West 7th is coming along great.
My pipe dream for Fort Worth is that the city lures the Rangers from Arlington with a retractable roof stadium just west of downtown when the lease is up at BP-A in 2025.
Imagine a finished West 7th, Trinity River Project, Stockyards and a MLB stadium in the same vicinity.

I think DFW could handle two MLB teams. Build one in Dallas and one in Ft Worth.
Well, it looks like I won't be going to Dallas for the All-Star Game after all (Long story), but I'm going to try and fit in a long 4-day weekend to visit sometime in late February or March! I'll open up a thread in the Dallas forum about sites and places to see.
Save up your money and try to get to Dallas next year for the bigger party.
I'm strating to like Fort Worth. This looks like a smaller version of Atlantic Station. DFW is blessed to have two cities that offer so much in entertainment!

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Fort Worth AND Dallas both had a baseball team by 2030. You could have a SF/Oakland type rivalry going on. But think the Rangers would have to go to the World Series a few times in the next 20 years for this to happen. So I might be expecting too much.

There really isn't a market out there outside of NY that can support 2 MLB teams. Maybe LA can sustain one. If Chicago didn't have two historic teams, they would only have one right now. Same with the Bay Area. In other words, you won't see another metro with two MLB teams for a very very very long time.
