ok the last few posts are some of the most shallow, silly, generalizing statements i've ever heard. i know FOR A FACT that black dallasites are not any less or any more country than the locals in houston or dallas. nor do they dress any less fashionable than the other two

but leave it to somebody on city-data to post a youtube video of something in the hood, to prove their point. utterly ridiculous

how old are you all, anyway?

36.

I said they were South Dallas hoodrats. They aren't representative of all the area. Come on now! But this is Texas we're talking about. Country lurks around the corner! Same with Atlanta. It's still Georgia. Nothing wrong with that.

I still stand by what I said though. They couldn't handle my fabulousness and the sunshine I bring to the world. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

South Dallas is Atlanta's Bankhead by looking at the video.

I was half joking myself. Atlanta definitely has its share of ghettos, hoodrats, chickenheads, etc.

I'm being light hearted too. Every city has its country/urban, upscale/ghetto. Its the American way!

Some places just have more of one or the other and thats what makes them special places.

If he is so what. There's nothing wrong with being country. Dallas specifically South Dallas like that posted in this thread is pretty country. It reminds me of a larger sized Waco. Even Dallasites that I have met have said this. It's very laid back and slow. Now the rest of Dallas is not like this. North Dallas is eons different. I do think this video is an embarrassment to Dallas.
