Any plate is fine with me if it represents the state and you can look at another plate from that state and it looks the same. We have representative plates that don't identify our state at all. I also do not like the new red lettering on our plates. They were chosen to make the letters more readable--NOT.

I like the fact that we have new laws stating what has to be showing on the plate. All states need that. I would also like to be able to see into the car beside me to make sure they don't have a gun pointed at my head. Get rid of those dark windows.

Click on Special Interest on this page and you will see what I am talking about. A state license plate should represent the state and nothing else. If you want to show some interest, it could be done in the lettering like the OBX for the Outer Banks.

I like the state plates that list the county too. Our state is big and it would be interesting to me that the driver in front of me is from 200 miles away at the Outer Banks. I have seen plates from several states that do this.
