I have had NY style pizza when I went to NYC and I still like Papa John's and Pizza Hut better IMO.

Rachael I've never seen pizza like that before. Just looks like tomato sauce with seasonings on top of bread.

It's called Sicilian pizza. Thicker crust and the cheese is beneath the sauce.

The independents are usually the best as they have to be in order to compete; however, in Houston innercity (West University) we did have a really good Pizza Hut in that wealthy area, which the pizza had to be as that area is used to the best. Where I am now--where the people are definitely middle class--the Pizza Hut stinks. Bought it once, and could barely choke it down. Different areas of a city have different services for sure.

I doubt that's true. I've lived in 3 different areas of the country, and Pizza huts have tasted the same everywhere I've traveled. If that were the case, the Pizza huts on Long Island and NYC would taste better than anywhere else, lol.

The best chain pizza restaurant in Atlanta is Mellow Mushroom.. IMO. But I do prefer some of the independent ones like the one in North Atlanta. I want to say it is called Hearthens Pizza. That pizza will make you want to jump through the roof. All of the toppings are organic . Actually several frozen pizzas from the grocery store tastes better than Pizza hut and Papa Johns.

refuse to eat that stuff, horrible for you plus it doesn't taste good and leave me feeling sick. If that is what was up for a meal in a place, I'd just wait until later to eat Fortunately nobody I know eats that stuff. You'd get smacked across the face in ny or chicago for eating that.
