A resounding YES if they lie between The Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn

Tropical is about POSITION.

- elevations in the tropics will be colder, this is known.

Bermuda , even if it was 70 year round WOULD NOT BE TROPICAL BECAUSE THERE WOUKD NOT BE TROPICAL CALIBER UV.

TROPICAL PLANTS NEED TROPICAL UV. SOME TEMPERATE ZONE PLANTS ARE KILLED BY THE SUN'S INTENSITY in tropical zones if planted there

TEMPERATE ZONE PLACES ARE NOT TROPICAL REGARDLESS OF TEMPS. WAHINGTON D.C. is NOT tropical in the summer. IT WILL NEVER HAS STRONG SUN.

TROPICAL IS ABOUT POSITION AND TROPICAL CALIBER SUNLIGHT.

P.S. NUMEROUS species of palms are NOT tropical at all.

Also like I said earlier THEY WOULD BE WARM, IF AT SEA LEVEL

ELEVATIONS ARE A FAULTY ARGUMENT USED BY FLORIDA TROPICAL WANNABES

ALL PACES TEMPERATE AND TROPICAL HAVE COLDER TEMPS IN THE MOUNTAINS

THE FACT REMAINS PUERTO RICO'S MOUNTAINS ARE TROPICAL, FLORIDA AND BERMUDA ARE NOT.

ALSO :

YOU FORGOT MANAUS BRAZIL AS THE MOST TROPICAL PLACE, BY THE WAY. THE AMAZON ON THE EQUATOR AS JUST AS TROPICAL AS SINGAPORE.

Cocos

All low-altitude tropical palms look better in Fl then CA.
S.Tex is a lot like a mix of the 2.
So these palms wouldn't make it in Florida?

Well based on "your definition", yes, Manaus and Singapore are just as tropical. Regarding temperature, Manaus is far inland and not at sea level..Singapore is exactly the opposite. Hence Manaus's record low is just a tad cooler. Though the overall weather is about the same.
"Tropical" is not geography alone, it's also climate.
Palm are a very diverse family, with the hardiest being able to withstand -10ºF(Sabal minor), with the most tender turning to mush at 45ºF(Pegladoxa).
P.S I'm a Texan.

How come coconuts grow in SoFL, Canary Islands, South Africa, Bermuda, and Ryuku Islands? None of these locations have tropical caliber UV. Are you saying coconuts are a "temperate" plant?

Galveston is alot warmer then what most people give it credit for.
Galveston:
Jan avg. low:50ºF
Feb:52ºF
Dec:52ºF
Orlando:
Jan: 50ºF
Feb: 51ºF
Dec: 53ºF
Galveston didn't drop below 30ºF from 1996-2009, excluding 2004. Bottumed out at 25ºF this year.
