My Sarcasm Detector is on the fritz so...um...this is sarcasm, right?

2. San Francisco
Market Street, The Embarcadero, Pier 39, The Warf, Ghiradeli Square, North Beach, Chinatown, etc...

3. New Orleans
French Quarter, French Market, the Casino, The Superdome, Louis Armstrong Park,

The Gaslamp District, Seaport Village area, Horton Plaza, Petco Park, Balboa Park area,

7. Seattle
Pike's Market, Union Square, The area around the Space Needle, The Monorail area,

8. Philadelphia
Pats vs Gino's (sort of South Philly), The Rocky Steps, South Street,

9. San Antonio
The Riverwalk, The Alamo, that mall area,

10. Baltimore
The Inner Harbor, Fell's Point area, Little Italy, National Aquarium, PowerPlant

Honorable mention:
11. Austin
12. Boston
13. Memphis
14. Dallas
15. Miami
16. Denver
17. Atlanta
18. Milwaukee
19. Los Angeles
20. Houston

*Las Vegas & Honolulu don't count in my list because it's not the downtown area that everyone visits. If the Vegas Strip & Waikiki were apart of those city's downtowns, they'd be toward the top easily.
Boston at#12?! I don't even like the city much but that's ridiculous. LA at #19 is pretty silly too. It's not the downtown that befits the 2nd biggest city in the US, but it's not that bad. It's still teeming with attractions and activity (during the day at least) and is even starting to come alive at night.

And I don't see what the problem is... Are you saying I should place Philly higher on the list or lower? This IS my opninion anyway, but I'm just curious...
You consider downtown Philly more fun than the 7 cities I placed before it?

I don't...

Sorry, but I don't enjoy downtown Boston as much as the 11 ahead of it... So, no it's not ridiculous...
YOU just like Boston. Doesn't mean I have to. Not impressed.

Now, I may have done an injustice to Los Angeles. That I can see, but maybe because whenever I am in LA, it's NOT downtown that I care to visit. Downtown just doesn't have that Los Angeles "Ummph" really. I do enjoy the fashion district, and Little Tokyo. But overall, I think I enjoy the downtowns of the cities in my top 10 list a lot more than DOWNTOWN Los Angeles (not the city as a whole). Maybe I should have placed downtown LA like #13. Yeah, I can do that. Just after 10, I kind of just jumbled the rest in there without caring what order. They were all the downtowns I thought of that I did like, but don't make my top 10 list.

Here's how I judged my list:

1. NYC
2. SF
3. NOLA
Downtowns that I have a BLAST in!!! *If the Las Vegas STRIP was downtown, that would make this list.

4. DC
5. Chi
6. Diego
7. Seattle
Downtowns I have a GREAT time in, but don't match up with the "Blast" I have in the top 3.

8. Philly
9. San An
10. Bmore
11. Austin
Downtowns I can easily have a GOOD time in, but don't match the "Great times" of the others ahead of them.

12-20
Downtowns I still like and enjoy, but just aren't as fun as the others ahead of them.
*May need to move LA up.

Psycho, again, where's San Jose? It's the top 5 or better! I guess you've never been to San Jose to qualify your opinion of this city.

No I don't consider Philly more fun than the seven downtowns ahead of it, I consider it less fun than some you put in your eleven to twenty list. Not saying you should place it higher or lower on your list, its your list for crying out loud I don't care but you listed the 'rocky steps' as an attraction. An attraction for whom? Fat people that workout running up and down the steps.. Philly has more attractions than the rocky steps in its downtown that are more deserving IMO
