Ooh wooow subways....ya know what that says to me? It says that the city has become too congested for above-ground traffic.

Also, the SCENERY in Denver beats the crud outta NYC any day of the year! NYC just can't handle the might of the Rocky Mountains; a man-made skyline just doesn't beat a natural one that makes even NYC look insignificant and young.
ok. you wanna rock with that lets rock with it.

you might recognize a few of these:

Fat Boys / Kurtis Blow - Knights of the City - Jailhouse Rap - YouTube

fast forward to now:

dunno, you might see them on tv?

its pointless for me to post the amount of celebrities from nyc. you already know and if you don't you have been living under a rock.

50 sold ten million records the first time and 11 mil worldwide the second time around. so ppl know him.
you have sony, def jam, etc. based here. def jam is a product of nyc period.

i know you know:

whether you like him or not the man is worth at least 300 mil. no point in even posting jay.

it doesn't matter what it says to you. the OP asked about certain things and i'm posting these things.

rather than be juvenile, you could try posting what denver has that one ups nyc in the transit department.

I admit subways are awesome but Denver has mass transit of its own including light rail and underground trams at DIA, the best airport in the United States!

Plus Union Station in Denver is going to under go a major renovation.

we have:

the subway system
metro north
lirr
a ferry system
staten island railway
roosevelt island has a tram
various buses and cabs
etc.

we also have two world class airports that are probably the most used in the country (?). someone can check me on that.

however, its good that denver is not backwards like some of these other areas of the country that don't believe in mass transit.

Lets see the Denver Broncos, under the helm of John Elway, won back to back championships.

The Avs won:

But more imporantly, win or lose, Denver has all of the pro sports and CU for all of the college sports!

so far i have tackled diversity, the transit system and the culture...although i could have gone for days with the culture. i actually need to do more because i just showed parades.

i didn't show the museums:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oTUk9pIKRQ

can you take the train, get off in the station, no not walk up the stairs to the surface, but get off the train and the museum is right there "in" the station?

NOPE. not in denver.

next post will be about the scenery. ppl swear up and down that nyc is all an urban jungle.

i didn't even touch fashion, art, etc. maybe i'll leave it out because it isn't fair.
