I think he probably meant water skiing...which is also available on the large lakes around Atlanta.

If you're moving from Upstate NY, I think in the long run you'll appreciate the hills and cool winter weather of North Georgia.

Atlanta would be better. Bigger city, better economy, cheaper housing. But Tampa is cool though, and it is very ideal for landscaping. Both are great cities.

Could a quick trip to both cities help you make your decision on which city to move to ? See which city you and your family prefer.Best of luck on your decision.
