I think Portland and Seattle are the tops.

They should each be cities of 20 million people each, with all that natural beauty close by!

Phoenix. Duh? Anyone whose ever been to the Phoenix metropolitan area knows and understands its true beauty.

I agree! The SW and Mountain West cities are never considered.

Phoenix is beautiful! I did a road trip from Austin Texas back to the Bay Area last year and I was in awe and shocked by the scenery of Arizona. It was the most aesthetically pleasing part of my drive.

In spite of my avid St. Louis love... I have to go with Seattle for cities with natural beauty. It's just stunning!

The biased part of me picks Seattle. Portland is great in natural scenery and closeness but not really on Seattle's level. San Francisco is gorgeous too and reminds me of a bigger sunnier version of Seattle. I never considered LA to have good natural scenery besides the beaches. San Diego is better overall for natural scenery than LA is, imo.

I heard Vancouver, BC is breathtaking too when it comes to natural scenery. Ive never been there but from what I heard it's like Seattle but with better city layouts and streets. I was thinking about visiting for a few days to see for myself.

Seattle looks like it's on another planet...like it's out of Star Wars...I'm going with that one.
