in Florida who went up North and thought it was EXTREMELY overrated. I know me myself enjoyed visiting the Northeast, but would NEVER EVER EVER want to deal with the Winter weather up North. YUCK!! We already deal with it enough here in NC. Experiencing winter weather is OVERRATED!! I always tell my cousins in FL who have never seen snow, that it's REALLY overrated. They didn't believe me until they experienced it themselves.

I do like Pittsburgh, too. But I prefer Tampa. For one thing, Tampa is one of the few cities in America where you can see the sun rise on one beach and see the sun set on another beach without leaving town. I also like the fact that it's a city made for those who love the outdoors. Yes it gets pretty hot in the summer, but the beaches provide a nice break and a near-constant breeze.

Florida to me was never about big skylines but beautiful beaches with palm trees ,clean air and sunshine that is my image of Florida.

Florida is known mostly as a retirement type area as is the case with the Tampa Bay area of St. Pete and Clearwater as also they are tourist destinations. This area is popular as is most of Florida and it will remain popular even though it is going through hard times now, maybe it needs to look at what Pittsburgh did with the loss of their steel industry and how they restructured to turn their economy around.

I have to say Tampa Bay all day with its beautiful and clean cities that surround it and I guess I have sand in my shoes,it just has a cleaner look than Pittsburgh by far.

I realize that the thread is about Tampa...however Sarasota is just south of Tampa and I wanted to post a different point of view; relative to the video you posted. .

Florida is a ROUGH place. And all the Northerners wanna brag about how rough and how gangsta life is up north. Even Florida's smaller cities are rougher then your largest cities. Haha you Northerners are SOFTIES!!
