Yeah the deep dish can be good! Out of the "tourist" places I like Lou Malnati's the best. If you're in town next time, try this place. It's more independent, local place not far from "downtown"

Pequod's Pizzeria - DePaul - Chicago, IL

Or this place for "pizza pot pie"...really good.
Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder Co - Lincoln Park - Chicago, IL

I like NY style more, but it's pretty close for me. Both are great "pizza cities" for sure.

Philadelphia has better pizza than either one of those.

Philadelphia is the best place on earth. It is literally utopia on earth. I don't know why everyone in the world doesn't just live in Philadelphia.

You're just jealous because Chicago's been going down the toilet!

You're so right. Let me tell my doorman that in a few minutes while I go to my private state of the art gym and then take a stroll a block away and go to the Ferrari/Lamborghini/Rolls Royce/Bentley dealership around the corner from me. I hear it's there because nobody has enough money to buy them.

This place is a hell hole and in the dumps!!

You're bitter because you can't live in Philly and instead got stuck in Chicago and you're in denial that Philly is the best city in America.

Yeah, I'm stuck in Chicago and I can't afford anywhere else even though I live in a building with a private doorman and a private gym around the corner from a Ferrari/Lambo/etc dealership. Makes total sense to me

I love Philly and it's a great city. However, find something new to say, seriously. You aren't really adding much substance to anything by going anywhere and stating the same five canned statements everywhere. If you actually had something to say more than putting other cities down and "Philly is the greatest city on earth!! it's the best at EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS", people would actually listen to you. Instead, you're the background noise that nobody actually pays serious attention to. It's just kind of there but nobody takes it seriously other than an annoyance.

And now, please kindly explain why this falls within the scope of a topic about Chicago pizza vs. New York pizza. Otherwise please keep your inadequate and irrelevant boosterism out of the discussion.

Because he thinks I'm mocking Philadelphia, instead of him (I love Philly actually), and he has to now attack the city where I live.

Does Philly have its own style of pizza? Serious question

They have a tomato pie, according to that site anyway.
