Show me on the map of Italy where they make it.

Chicago "thin" is the more Italian dish. My Chicago relatives (Italian side) have an awesome recipe for the thin crust, and there is NO deep dish recipe on that side of the family. I love it!

Show us the map of Italy where they make floppy, fold-in-half pizza like they have in NYC. I ate pizza the entire time I was in Italy for 10 days (including Naples) and they NEVER made it thin and floppy!

Try eating at an authentic pizzeria, someplace outside the airport. Or did you go to a Pizzeria Uno?

You mean like Neopolitian style? Are you saying New York style sometimes doesn't fold and flop? I love how arrogant you New Yorkers are about pizza, like people from other places don't have a clue about what "real" pizza is. I had pizza in NYC too when I visited. It's pizza. You aren't that special.

Traditional New York style originated from Italy, but it has morphed into an American version of what they serve in Italy in many places in NYC. Not saying that ALL places aren't "authentic", 'cause I know all of the "Ray's" are pretty authentic.

lol you say new york style. But new york style pizza as we know it was created by italian immigrants in new york. How is it not authentic with that being said? Its just as authentic as the pizza in italy you just have to go to the right spots

Look. i've said this here before. Deep dish is fun, filling, and tasty, and Chicago has every right to be proud of it. It just ain't pizza. Call it 'Chicago deep dish' and bow your head to no one.
