Yes the gay clubs in Atlanta play Trance House hip hop R&b. Baltimore club music etc.. And so do some of the straight club.. All around I would give it too Atlanta for various style clubs, music and a well known/popular scene...

Atlanta was never a Rave mecca like Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, & Miami.

Well I doubt Atlanta could compete when it comes to Zydeco, Tejano and I've heard from a couple of people that the reggae scene is better in Houston.

Yeah This is not a raggae City There are raggae Clubs here but I dont like them. Id rather go to Miami or NYC for Raggae.. Atlanta does well in Popular Music. Indie, Country, Rock,R&B, Hip Hop.Neo soul, and Baltimore club music.. Far as Nightlife, Atlanta is known for Clubbing/Strip Clubs/Upscale Lounges....

As far as Hip-Hop scenes go, it depends on what you're looking for. Houston's scene is much more underground while Atlanta has more of a mainstream chart topper Hip-Hop scene. Both are good but it depends on what you prefer. Personally I prefer Houston's scene.

For R&B I think Atlanta for sure though.

Houston is definitely a Strip Club city as well along with lounges and clubs. The Bar scene is growing [can't wait until I'm 21]. I don't really hear too much about the Reggae scene in Houston as well, but I've heard from a few people that it's better than Atlanta when we were discussing the nightlife in different cities.

I saw yesterday that Houston has the above national average number of bars in the city.

I know what I'm going to be doing a lot more now! Rice Village!!
