Phoenix. I love Desert Cities. Scottsdale gives the edge over DFW too.
I agree. Scottsdale is a premiere shopping destination (also has a Neiman's, Barneys among others), a buzzing hotel scene (also more AAA-Five Diamond resorts), a hip and happening nightlife scene (nightclubs, lounges, bars, restaurants), more than 200 area golf courses, home to San Francisco Giants spring training, dozens of art galleries, all for a city of only 245,000.
Two gigantic suburbs posing as cities full of chain stores, chain restaurants, people who think that Cheesecake Factory is 5-star-dining cookie-cutter tract homes, full of unworldly people who don't care about things like culture or education...and of course the false-prophet megachurch pastors preaching drivel to the masses.
Why isn't ritual suicide an option on this poll? LOL...
Of course one of the main, most prolific and obnoxious Texan posters who can't go an hour without getting on their Blue Hippo or college library Computer to proclaim the greatness of the Lone Star State would say something. The hypocrisy and irony are duly noted
Tough call. Both cities are pretty diverse, decent nightlife, affordable living. Dallas has more high tech jobs, but if you make good money in Phoenix you can live like a king.
Scottsdale is awesome though. Dallas doesn't have much like that.
I am planning to go back to school and I am debating between Phoenix, AZ and Dallas, TX. Any tips...?
