I haven't been to Phoenix yet but I visited Dallas-Fort Worth briefly last summer. I think I'd say that if I had to choose where to go to live, I'd say Dallas would get the edge because its summers aren't as hot as in Phoenix. And also because Texas has better economic conditions than Arizona. Plus, Arizona is really growing fast. At this rate, Phoenix may become another Los Angeles pretty soon. But AZ is a pretty state though.

Phoenix doesn't stand a chance..so dallas. I think this comparison is slightly unfair though...but hey, who said it had to be fair?

Wrong on both accounts. I would rather take the dry hot summers of Phoenix over the humid hot summers of DFW. No comparison. More to do? How so? Both metro's have all four major sports teams and plenty to do within the metro areas. At least in Phx you can take a short drive to gorgeous mountains and scenery. DFW is flat for miles!

PHX Metro also has this little thing called spring training in which half of the MLB plays in and around the metro area for over 1 month. That alone should push the sports in PHX as better than the sports in DFW.
