I'm gonna be part of the majority and say I like BOTH places. I've never been to Phoenix, BUT from the pics that I've seen, it REALLY looks AWESOME. I guess I vote for DFW. But I wouldn't mind living in either. I've always wanted to go to the desert.

Having lived in D/FW in the mid-80's, I'd have to say that D/FW had much more going on with its metro at that time than Phoenix did (of course it experienced growth much sooner than Phoenix as well), so I'm not sure it is a fair comparison. If it were a competition as to which metro has improved the most over the past 10-20 years, I'd definitely give that to Phoenix even if D/FW gained more people.

On a side note, even though I appreciate D/FW, I'd still take Phoenix any day over it.

Two gigantic suburbs posing as cities full of chain stores, chain restaurants, people who think that Cheesecake Factory is 5-star-dining cookie-cutter tract homes, full of unworldly people who don't care about things like culture or education...and of course the false-prophet megachurch pastors preaching drivel to the masses.

Why isn't ritual suicide an option on this poll? LOL...
