Surprised this one hasn't been done yet...

Consider everything, including:

quality of life
hottest women
overall snazz/zeitgeist/cosmopolitanism
more to see and do
architecture/overall beauty
culture

Hottest women? Lol is that a joke? Like that's anything to judge a city by...

btw I picked Montreal. It's got something Seattle can't touch: a legit Underground if you catch my meaning

Not something to judge an overall city on, but something people notice

Yeah, I was thinking about putting public transportation as part of the criteria but decided against it. THAT would have been a joke.

Screw public transportation, who would need it there if they have this: Underground City, Montreal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not even NYC could boast having something like that!

Evidently I did not catch your meaning. I thought "underground" meant subway.

As someone who use to live in Seattle and has only visited Montreal, I chose Quebec's finest.

Seattle is great, but it doesnt even come close to Montreal's public transit, nightlife, shopping, and restaurants.

Why do you think I added that little 'if you catch my meaning' at the end of the statement?

I don't know how long I could handle the harsh winters of Québec if I lived there, and I LOVE Seattle, but I have to go with Montréal here. The Francophone aspect is so interesting and it's so vibrant and has such a beautiful built environment...

Montreal is one of the great cities of this hemisphere, and my favorite Canadian city. Seattle is great and has a better natural setting. But as far as the cities themselves, I'd choose Montreal. It's a tough one to beat...

My only experience with Montreal is visiting for Expo '67 as an 8-year old. Seemed kinda cool, (actually kind of humid, 8-year olds from Seattle not used to that)...

I also remember watching a documentary in the 90's about how bad the drivers were there. Not sure about that one, could be a comparison to other Canadian cities.

Then there is the whole "French" thing. More power to them, and probably makes it a more interesting city to North American tourists!

I have absolutely nothing more to add to this one.
