Which city (doesn't necessarily have to be your own...but in my case it is) have you driven in where people just seem to not be aware of the existence of a speed limit?

This includes freeways, feeder roads and city streets. Does anybody have any data on this?

As I said, my vote goes to my hometown of Houston. Honorable mentions include LA and San Antonio.

There are already a lot of threads about this topic, many of them recent as it seems this question is being asked every other week in a new thread now. Why don't you search and add to an existing thread on this very topic.

I found drivers in Raleigh/Durham to be nascar pretenders. But that is based on just one visit in summer 2008. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I've noticed that NYC drivers tend to be the slowest drivers ever on not urban roads. On urban roads, they'll fly past, but heaven forbid there's more than 50 yards where you don't have to stop, they seem baffled.

In my travels, (and I have not been in every city) I always thought Chicago drivers were the fastest drivers in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic on the freeways. Forget the speed limit. It dont mean nothing. And neither does the space between bumpers.

Miami with Houston a close second. I remember an elderly woman who I'm assuming was from New Jersey (Her license plate) was driving and me believing older people are the worst and slowest drivers. We were sitting at a redlight and as soon as it turned green we both zoomed off, but that woman was driving so fast I couldn't even pass her up (mind you; we were both doing like 70 in a 50; hell she was probably doing 80) LOL
