Half them ATL artist just claim Atlanta and that list is not accurate. Chingy is from St. Louis Usher was actually born in Dallas, Texas but he does claim ATL like so many other artist from there. Even though I am southerner I am sick of the southern hip hop but East Coast and West Coast isn't much better (I think it’s worse). I wouldn’t point the blame at the south for killing hip-hop but I am not going to defended it either. Hip hop is just so screwed up today just my opinion. As long as mainstream keeps buying and supporting bad music it will continue.
I do not fault Souljaboy and Unk I blame lame artist for biting them it’s so repetitive now, it gets really corny. The hiphop industry is garbage, I like wezzy! but I don’t care how many songs lil wayne makes, he shouldn’t be on every song on the radio. It become the chicken or the egg, Are the songs on the radio really that hot? or the radio station chains are prompting artists song until we accept them as hot? I don’t have a problem with different subgenres because I respect the different sounds in different regions. What I do have a problem with is every song being the same thing.
