Ummm, I've always thought that TN was more "southern" in appearance and culture than both North Carolina and GA. TN has Memphis which is a big hit among MS natives (so I've heard), then you have Nashville which is home to something called the "Grand ol Oprey" and is the mecca for country music (the rapper "Young Buck" was fighting a losing battle in trying to give Nashville some type of street cred), and last but not least East TN is the Appalachian countrified home of blugrass music. Basically, TN has all bases covered when it comes to ranking "southernness."
