That belongs to New York. The rest is on point though.

Exactly. In terms of what in the national mindset right now, economic growth in the 90s, YES the Olympics lol, music scene, KING and civil rights connections, and AIR TRAVEL!!! Hartsfield is the busiest airport in the country, so many people take connecting flights through there (Atlanta is a 2 hour flight from more that 75% of the nation's population)

Philadelphia only beats Atlanta on history and actual size, but I feel that Atlanta has a better reputation right now (probably an inflated rep, but better brand nonetheless)

mmm only historically. In terms of new artists and connections, Atlanta is dominating hip hop right now.

Philly's got:
Comcast (Largest Telecommunications/Cable company in U.S. Just bought NBC)
Rocky
Cheesteaks
KOP mall (Most retail space in the U.S.)
Declaration of Independence/Birth place of America.
Located within in two hours (by car), of something like 50+ million people.
Alot more movies made in Philly
Etc.

Its a good comparison (and I'm being nice), but I wouldn't say either one wins "Hands Down".

Atlanta definitely has the biggest/arguably the best scene in rap right now..not the hip-hop capital of the world though. Maybe rap capital of the US for 09/10..

I'm gonna go with Philly on this one. A lot more history happened there than in Atlanta.

You can add the Weather Channel. Well...I guess it doesn't help in name recognition, because most people don't realize it's in Atlanta. Nevermind...

Yes the weather channel is owned by Comcast in Philly, and I actually did know the weather channel is headquartered in Atlanta

Hmmm...internationally, I'd say it's close. Historically Philadelphia - it was the capital at one time.
