If you were asking where would be better to live, my opinion would be Houston.

However to visit, Philly hands down.

I would have to agree with LAnative. Live in Houston but vacation in Philly.

I'd rather visit Philadelphia.

I'd rather live in Houston

Take that as you will, LOL.

I'll also co-sign and say that restaurants and what you want out of them are far too subjective. Both Philly and H-Town have great restaurant scenes, but there are things Philly excels in, while there are things Houston excels in.

Houston is not a city that caters to tourists. There are things that you can appreciate there as a visitor, but Philadelphia has a historical heritage that cannot be matched by many cities in this country.

Philly
I want to go to Houston and Philly... but I wouldn't know what to do in Houston that I couldn't do here in Atlanta. I know in Philly I can look at the historical attractions and try a cheesesteak.

There actually is a man-made beach "Atlanta Beach"and Acworth Beach, but I don't think you can do all the things you can on the coast....

Galveston Beach? I LOVE the town itself, but the beach? Notsomuch...That's what I get for living in Florida though, LOL

How about we can just meet up in Destin or Panama City like all the Atlantans, Dallasites, Houstonians and New Orleanians seem to do, LOL.
