BWAH!

I vote for Bemus Point, N.Y. Especially if the Surf Club is still there ...

Hilarious thread!

I chose northern CA even though it said (SF) --- I wouldn't live in SF, but I love my former home of Sonoma County and would never consider living anywhere in NY state.

The odd think about my vote is that I'm probably going to move back to So Cal (Santa Barbara) simply because my social network is so tight there and I can get my needs met there more easily than anywhere else. But I wish all those people would just move to Austin so I wouldn't have to leave my favorite city!

that makes this poll even less meaningful, in that some people will compare an eastern state to western cities, and other people who chose the same option will compare an eastern city to western cities.

Default depends what city

I grew up in So. Cal but much prefer WNY. Smaller town feel, much less traffic, less crowded everywhere in general, more nature, less air pollution, etc. Definitely like living in a smaller city, so if the comparison was to NYC I might have a different answer.

I am from NY so would pick that. SF is very nice, but I wouldn't want to move there; too far from family and I like the 4 seasons.
