Bal Harbour is 100x better, Highland Park has a Tom Thumb (grocery store lol), Antropologie (eeewww), and a huge parking lot in the middle. I'd say half the stores in Bal Harbour aren't anywhere in Dallas.

That isn't a shopping center, it is a shopping district.

There is actually a reson why there is a Tom Thumb in Highland Park Village because it doesn't consider its self like a mall more like a community center.
Where people come everyday dan buy groceries and there cup of Starbucks and pass by the dry cleaners.

Highland Park Village is a shopping center with upscale stores.
Tom Thumb has been at Highland Park Village since 1948.
Go to this website, they have a map of the shopping center and the stores. Highland Park Village | The Premier Shopping Experience of Dallas, Texas

There are specific reasons why they want a Tom Thumb and other amenties such as dry cleaners, barber shop etc in Highland Park Village. It is not a mall rather than a lifestyle center. The Tom Thumb there is actually a nice addition to the community, gives it a very unique feel.
Anthropologie, Williams Sonoma and such will most likely not have their leases renewed. The new owners have stated they only want stores that are nowhere else in the area and will only renew leases on rare boutiques to make room for more rare boutiques. Its an exciting transition Highland Park Village is going through. I think the shopping center really compliments the surrounding neighborhood.

Tom Thumb has been there since 1948.
Like I said Highland Park Village is a shopping center, that's why there is a grocery store in the shopping center.

Don't Hate because Houston has nothing like Highland Park Village .
Only the horrible looking Galleria which is the only decent place for high end companies to open their stores in the area.
