Which is better and why?

let's not bring economies into it. Let's be more open minded then that please.

Texas:
Has the gulf of mexico
The Alamo
Different weather types
fast pace in some areas.

California:
LA,SD, and SF
lots of culture
lots of scenery
Disneyland
Seaworld
Great beaches
climate is great in the southern half of the state

Well you stacked the deck even more significantly in your favor by leaving out the Economy

Having said that CA for me - is truly beautiful

And agree on the climate overall - Northern CA is no sloutch in this regard
