To tell you the truth, this should really only be like a top 10 question, after 10 it gets hard, and you want 50? Damn Lol.

While San Bernardino/Riverside Metro (called the Inland Empire) is a less desirable part of Southern California, I don't think it should rank 50. There is probably more to do there than a lot of the other metro areas in the 30 and 40 range. Its very close to some beautiful geographical features.

San Bernardino Metro is home to several ski resorts that pull people in from all over Southern California. Also popular for mountain retreats. The mountains are 10-30 minutes from the major developed areas of the Inland Empire.
Big Bear

Good shopping: Victoria Gardens of Rancho Cucamonga

Ontario Mills Mall, one of the largest in CA

San Manuel Amphitheater- the largest amphitheater in the country and often the ONLY host in So Cal to major concert tours. OzzFest for example always tours at this amphitheater.

Morongo Casino Resort and Spa of the Serrano Mission Band of Indians

Inland Empire Wine Country and Balloon Festivals

Close to beautiful deserts, like Joshua Tree National Park

The geographic diversity and beauty of the Inland Empire is enough to move it out of #50 in my opinion. There is a lot to do in the area and enjoy the beauty that is California. Its very rare in this country where you get to experience a 8,000 foot mountain with snow in a twenty minute drive in one direction and a desert valley in a twenty minute drive the other direction all from your front porch. The region is also just one hour out of L.A/OC.

So seriously, you have been to all 50 of these cities and have spent significant time in each one? You must be over 60 years old. I do not get this list. What is the criteria anyway.

Yeah, San Bernardino at number 50 seems a bit far fetched. It could go before at least 20 cities on that list.

Why not make a positive thread like "The top 10 most exciting cities" but I bet that has been made already.
