I always thought New York had everything, but on a visit to Austin, I realized I had finally found something New York doesn't have: outdoor bars with live music and free chips and salsa.
theirs a four story barnes and nobles around union square, and theirs also one close to it on 5th ave, and theirs one in downtown brooklyn i believe , and others also i just know those 3. but after that their are book stores all over nyc.
Yep. Home of the world's largest bookstores (well, tied with Toronto, which is also a world-class city)
You have to be kidding................. NY'ers LOVE not knowing about other places in America. It's a badge of honor for many of you. However, claiming to know about the ways & actions of these places; and judging said places based on preconceived notions & biases is a NY pastime.
If it is 2 hours away or you have to leave outside the city to do it.... does it really count as something the city has or something you can do in the city?
by this logic, i must be in New York City right now
All I'm saying is that in many world-class cities, people have to drive a couple hours if they want to go hunting, sometimes more. How many world class cities really have hunting readily accessible inside the city limits???
The point many people are trying to make is that just because someone may live in New York City doesnt mean they know things about the world or things about NYC. I met plenty of narrow minded New Yorkers there and many of them think they know other places but they really dont. The point people were trying to make is that there are people that are like that in NYC. Nobody was saying everyone was like that there.
So you continue to make yourself seem like an ignorant fool. You also continue to be in denial. And you seem to be getting inappropriately defensive.
I don't understand how someone can live in a place like NYC and be so narrow minded.
how exactly is eek being ingorant? he is questioning th eignorance many non new yorkers have on us , and your callin ghim ignorant how ironic
by this logic, i must be in New York City right now
Thats what im trying to understand... I can understand having to drive for maybe 30 to 45 minutes ... but Hours?
