Where is that 2nd picture from? Is that the one on 32nd street? That one in the picture is very, very old. Looks like it's from the 1920s or something. Not many cities have skyways dating that old.
--Ok. Even though I said 'touche' and 'thanks' in Quoting that said post on page 39.
--How was is ignorant? If one never goes there and most pictures are of Manhattan, how would they know about the neat little natury pictures that you and Russian posted?
Well at least now people know that Manhattan is probably like 1/10 of NYC.
These are ALL in NYC's city limits, I even saw pics of people Jet Skiing in Brooklyn . I avoided using parks, saw some nice pics though. I suck at finding nice pictures, I'm not an expert of Manhattan & The Bronx but they do have natural beauty. I was going to include NYC's tallest tree "The Queens Giant" but it's in a park, plus most pics were from Winter (eww). Oh and NYC technically does have a mountain, Moses Mountain on Staten Island. The highest point in NYC is Todt Hill which is 400+ feet.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would dispute that NYC isn't surrounded by natural beauty, but it seriously pales by comparison to places like SF,Denver,Portland,Seattle, and even LA. You can literally escape into insanely beautiful natural less untouched surroundings within 15 min or less. Most major Western cities blow NYC out of the water in that area..sorry for telling the truth.

....but what does that have to do with this thread????
Nobody said New York City blew anywhere out of the water when it comes to natural beauty. The pictures are in response to a poster who claimed New York City had no natural beauty.
This thread has nothing to do with SF, Portland or Seattle. It's about what NYC does and does not have. New York City has lots and lots of natural beauty.
As a city, New York City blows all of those cities out of the water (and all other cities in the US), but not many people would say that SF, LA, Portland, Denver, Seattle are terrible and hopeless cities simply because they're not on the same level as New York City, would they?

New York City blows all of those cities out of the water (all major Midwestern cities...and all cities in the US) , but nobody would say that SF, LA, Portland, Seattle are terrible and hopeless cities because they can't compete with New York City, would they?
Oh really?..you sound kind of tired like most of your posts..get some rest..night..night..
No Vegas-like gambling
No good Texas BBQ(been searching)
No top shelf major auto racing venue(not private clubs, every city has that)
No 4 corners like amazing landscape
No good college football teams
poor high school football compared to other states
Sorry, your Mexican food is not good(been looking)
