lol, This thread is so ridiculous and ignorant, and Im from New York City.

NYC does offer a lot, but it is technically 1% of the world or less geographically.

There are many great cities/places other than NYC and many places are unique.

geographically NYC is not that big, there are plenty of cities in the US that are bigger.

Disneyland was placed in Anaheim rather than LA proper. Is there any big amusement park in Long Island or Putnam or Westchester? Would there be no room there?

Not saying the area even needs one though.

Ya an amazing park in a city like nyc would be epic. Disney orlando will have a big big problem. You would have the attraction of the park multiplied with the attraction of the city. It would give more people worldwide an incentive to come to new york. Billions upon billions would pour into the city

put it in eastern queens. anything for an excuse to either extend existing train lines there or create new ones. the neglect of eastern queens for this long is embarrassing, IMO.

Uh not really. First off NY doesn't have the room for a Disney World, unless you're willing to clear a land area 2x the size of Manhattan. Secondly, the reason Walt Disney chose Orlando was due to the good weather year round. Cedar Point, which is the best roller coaster park, doesn't even crack the top 15 for attendance because it's seasonal like any park in NY would have to be.

^ That's true on the size. On my Orlando visit, I was amazed to see how big the entire Disneyworld parks are and I'm used to big parcels of land in Vegas and LA.
