FYI- Humboldt Park is a neighborhood inside a city and not a borough....that's the difference between the Bronx and Humboldt Park. Furthermore "real" Puerto Ricans identify with the island not some cultural hub.
Can't argue with this.
There is an enormous Puerto Rican population in NYC though.

But of course. And I bet Chicagoans know the "real" Peurtoricans from newyoricans whoe born in New York. C'mon, you guys are clueless. Is this because you are so far way from any other major city?

Like, i said i've been to both cities and Chicago is better, u haven't. NYC has a small grimy skyline, the Empire state building in Chicago's skyline won't stand out because the Sears tower and Trump Tower are bigger.Plus NYC is mostly concrete and brick, i didn't see any trees or parks and no i didn't go to Central Park, Chicago is greener and prettier. And NYC is really expensive! It is really worth it?.......IMHO NO!.
You missed the central park? This kid is so funny.

dude, chicago IS a major global city in itself, it has the 2nd highest pr population in the u.s. behind NYC. Yes Chicago is not NYC or London but it holds its own.
I think you're confusing regular apartment buildings with projects. What you seem to be describing are regular buildings. They are everywhere for the most part. The projects are in certain areas like S.BX, Harlem, N.E BK, LES Manhattan etc....
There are 1,371,456 Puerto Ricans in the New York-Newark-Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. There are 3,994,259 Puerto Ricans in the nation of Puerto Rico.
