It's a flashback to a couple of weeks ago.
Someone is still having trouble making up their mind.

The ONLY possibility for me would be Asheville, NC (and that would be a remote one).
The rest are NO WAY because of their harsh winters!

My LEAST two chosen places to live... I am not sure what that means, but the only two places on that list I would consider living are Burlington and Asheville because of the mountains. If a place is going to have terrible winters and not have much going on there, it might as well have mountains to look at. For somewhere like New Orleans, I could put up with the flatness. Somewhere like Montreal, I could put up with the 9 degree average high in January. They all seem like very nice places though in some way, but... Meh.
My style is more Olympia, Eureka/Arcata, or Astoria, Portland, Eugene, etc., over one of those places on the list.

My LEAST chosen place to live is Ithaca, NY! What a liberal dump! Oh, that places makes me want to... run with scissors.
I hate Tompkins County, and would rather live in.. I dunno.. Broome for e.g. any day.

I can't stand woo-woo places, and I'm a liberal former new ager. Let's start with Marin County, Boulder, Sedona, Asheville and wherever else these fake types congregate. Like many easterners have said in city-data, I'd rather have people be blunt and in my face than fake nice/polite pretending to be your friend. A variant theme on "Smiling Faces" only for everyone and not just one group of people.
There is nothing worse than a shallow seeker who thinks they're all hip and deep. Well OK maybe Darth Cheney but that's another league.

Ashville....
I hate living in such a liberal dominated city! But it is pretty here. I did hear that Ashland was very full of artists...fine artists. The weather would be great and I am just bananas for the folk art I heard about coming out of there. Would move if I could

Ashland's liberal too. Sounds like you'll need to put up with liberals in order to have art. I'm going to be putting up with wingers to get warmth and sun (Scottsdale from Portland).

I have never been to any of the cities on the list except for Asheville, NC so I am limited to one choice.
Asheville is a cool, liberal small city with gorgeous mountain views. I am not sure if I could live there all year long because it is not big enough for me. Even my current location Knoxville, TN has more to do due to the University of Tennessee.
