I might be moving to one of these 4 cities and I am just wondering which city is the best(in order) for:
Livability
Things to do
Sports
Restaurants
Friendliness
Atmosphere(streets+restaurants+sporting events full with people)
Safety
Also, in these 4 cities the suburbs I am considering are:
NYC - Princeton,NJ
Chicago - Lake Forest,IL
Boston - Milton,MA
Washington - Alexandria,VA
Alexandria is pretty expensive, but it has a scenic old town dating to 1749 with historic buildings, shopping, restaurants, a waterfront along the Potomac and metro station stops. Hotels and office buildings are nearby. It's also close to D.C. It's probably my favorite city in NoVa.
try queens or bk. one can live 10-15 min away from manhattan via the train for a lot less than you think.
you get the best bang for your buck and live in a great city.
