Houston is so much better if you ask me. I love every metro in Texas.

If I had to live in the Durty Souf and be around people who acted as if it was my pleasure to live in said Durty Souf, I'd have to pick Houston, simply because there'd be a slightly better chance I'd run into a Northerner or two that could relate with my perspective.

Is there a general love for one-another's state in the Sun Belt? Because that's extremely uncommon in the Rust Belt!

I really like Charlotte, but I would rather live in Houston. To me, much of Charlotte has the same feel that suburban Houston has. I know the two cities are completely different, but in some ways Charlotte seems like a small Houston. Not so much in terms of culture but in the way the city looks. Houston dwarfs Charlotte though.

Houston wins this and its not even close. I have a hard time even considering Charlotte a "major city". Its a bore. Might as well be El Paso or some other boring town with a "high" population.

Houston in a landslide.
This.

Yes I have. Both cities are in the 650-750k population range but are both boring as I've stated. Sorry, Charlotte has alot more growing up to do. Like I said, its not even close.
