new york or chicago, whoever gets lebron, will probably add 4-5 championships right there, yankees are solid, chicago baseball, well, never know. chicago hockey good right now. giants are solid and bears should be too.

boston could keep it going, but think the celtics are aging and high paid, bellecheck could be out, etc etc. sox are solid but they are in the same div as yankees, so always a problem.

philly obviously is strong in hockey/baseball and could continue.

halladay just threw a pg.

^^^LOL at NY or CHI getting 4-5 championships if they get Lebron. Lebron has had everything he needed to win a ship in Cleveland and failed to do so. 4-5 in 10 years is pushing it. Wait until he gets his first before talking about multiple ships.

exactly what I was going to say. But otherwise I think grapico had the right ideas. Philly certainly has a good chance for the beginning of the decade at least.

aaaannnnd Don't underestimate DETROIT

except a solid #2 man and balancing out his own game, remember he is only 25.
jordan did not win his first championship until he was 28

2000-2010: Boston

2010-2020:
NFL- So far it appears to be New Orleans

I agree with Grapico, let's see who gets LeBron, he will be winning a few Championships this decade.

I realize that, but he had plenty of help on the Cav's the past couple of years. Also I just find the Jordan comparisons to be unfounded. They are two different people from two different era's. I agree that like Jordan he is a fantastic player who in many ways dominates the league, but that doesn't mean his career is going to play out like Jordan's and equal Championships.

Houston. The Texans and Rockets especially. If you want to talk about two young teams on the rise in their respective sports, those two are it. The Dynamo will continue to do their thing. I'll say Dallas, also, because of the Cowboys and Rangers. The Mavericks are about to fall off a cliff in that town (talk about a team getting old...their average age is over 30 already and they might lose Dirk).

yeah obviously, but there is always a push to have a great player...lebron is probably the only young choice right now to fill that role.

Actually, LeBron is 27...the same age when Jordan won his first championship (not 28). And if LeBron goes to NY, he won't be winning another championship for a long time, even if the Knicks sign another big name next to him. They don't have a supporting cast.
