I think it's accurate to say that Savannah is a smaller, cleaner, nicer, prettier, safer version of New Orleans ... and most people wouldn't disagree with that. I hear it all the time from tourists.

Are they building major motion picture and television studios FROM THE GROUND UP in Louisiana, aka Pinewood Studios in Atlanta? If so, nobody's heard of it.
LOL. Homers ignore the reality and now even facts that they posted. Atlanta is destroying Louisiana atm when it comes to film. As I said, GA falls in 3rd behind the obvious California and New York.

It serviced all the farms and ranches on FM 471 from where the old Grissom Rd intersected to the east all the way west towards the county line.http://reouge.blogded.com/1.jpghttp://reouge.blogded.com/2.jpghttp://reouge.blogded.com/3.jpghttp://reouge.blogded.com/4.jpghttp://reouge.blogded.com/5.jpg

I'm assuming the first is St. Patricks Day and the next is Mardi Gras... While not as packed, Bourbon is mostly pretty packed year round, River Street definitely isn't.

That crowd extends for miles and miles all the way to Uptown during Madi Gras for multiple days though lol.

Even for St Patricks day New Orleans has 4 parades in the city and a few in the suburbs, so I wonder how the attendance compares to Savannah for their celebration.

I'm not arguing the point, just illustrating that they do have a lot in common ... except River Street is MUCH more family friendly and not nearly as sleazy as Bourbon Street.

Other things that New Orleans and Savannah have in common is:
-- Colorful history
-- Unique culture
-- Busy rivers with muddy water
-- Horse pee
-- Open consumption of alcohol on the streets, which can lead to all kinds of interesting ... uh ... "scenery"
