Put in Moving from Chicago to Miami and look at the stuff. It might surprise you. You can take a 15% hit on income and live the same lifestyle in Miami. Not to mention the better weather means you don't need a summer and winter wardrobe unless you're really into high fashion.
Haha generally I like winter a lot. But I'm cool with living anywhere man. Like I could live in Albuquerque and not complain about it.
I honestly had no idea that Miami is less expensive overall. Then again, I was just a tourist there, and tourists always get ripped off because they don't know a city well.

Yeah, I live in downtown. My parents got a place there for investment but it's mine now. LOL! Since I'm the only one who cares to actually keep checking up on this place.
My parents have a house in Naperville (suburb Chicago). That's normally where they stay when they're up in the Windy City.
Saying Chicago is more expensive than Miami or Miami is more expensive than Chicago is like saying a BMW is more expensive than a Mercedes Benz or a Mercedes Benz is more expensive than a BMW, they will both hurt your wallet in the nicest areas lol.

ps i lived in florida over 20 years and have also lived in chicago, not fooling anybody, i know what weather there is like.
I was just saying the way you made it sound like Miami is the Devil's Den. It was pretty crazy because this last winter Florida reached 30 degree days lol.

I can handle the heat and cold, I've lived in both, it is definitely not everybodies cup of tea though. Could say the same for Chicago, as it has a winter. Miami I wouldn't say experiences anybodies definition of winter weather. Chicago can get just as hot as Miami though (for a few days) but also a lot colder. The sun in Miami though will burn you a lot faster.

True, the thing about Chicago is it gets very extreme weather right? Like it gets into the hundreds for a couple weeks in the summer, and the teens in the winter.
