For every region, there is one city that stands out and is top dog. Using the following region map, which city would you choose to be the capital of that region and why?

By capital I mean HIGH PRIORITY. In charge of the best of everything.

My OPINION
West - Los Angeles
South - Houston
Midwest - Chicago
Northeast - Philadelphia

I agree with list, except for Houston it should be Dallas.

How would Philadelphia be "in charge of the best of everything" and not New York?

I almost chose Dallas. I have not been to texas so I'm not sure which city would better suit as a capital of the south. I just figure Houston is more important. I could be wrong.

Also, the south is debatable, but I agree with Los Angeles and Chicago. Technically Atlanta has been called "the capital of the south".

West - Los Angeles
South - Atlanta
Midwest - Chicago
Northeast - New York

Why is Ohio the same color as the northeastern states?

Dallas-Fort Worth is the biggest metro in the south, so it should be the most important.

I don't feel NEW YORK is the best of everything in the Northeast. I mean of course it is more famous and this and that, but I have been to both cities.

The reason why I said the south is debatable is because there really is no one city that stands out or dominates any of the others. Houston does it's own thing, Dallas does it's own thing, Miami does it's own thing, Atlanta does it's own thing etc.
