Hey, wouldn't you agree that those West Palm Google maps look like Cali?
Parts of WPB and Southern California are similar. To say WPB looks like California is a stretch because California is so huge and has such a wide variety of looks to it. I think what you are keying in on is that a lot of the suburban development in SoCal and Southern Florida occurred around the same time (Post WWII) so the tract housing is similar.

Exactly, I meant the suburbanization, and urban patterns, and housing and building-style of WPB, and the vegetation(palm trees, tamarind trees, pines) resembles that of a city in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Wow, I honestly didn't realize Florida had so many cool historic neighborhoods in their cities. Guess I've just been exposed to too much Southern Florida since that's were all my relatives are! I really need to see some more of the state...
There are nice areas all over Florida, I think the more north you go the more historic and older the architecture is. Still though, as cool as some neighborhoods in Central Florida are, I would still love to live in neighborhoods like this in South Florida:
Just a few examples, South Florida is definitely the most flashy part of Florida lol.
