Chicago isn't even the only city that's comparable to new York l...you can throw Philly in there also...for such a big urban cosmopolitian city people sure are displaying some close minded thinking lol there is more out there than NYC
lol u act like new york handed out a sweepstakes to be 8+ million strong. nyc has that many people for a reason.

Soooo um what are you talking about? It says what city would compare to new York and nyers are talking about bow much of everything NYC has which has nothing to do with the topics objective...whatever amenities that present in NYC also exist in Chicago just in a lesser quantity lol and that's all there is to it

Lol using your logic almost every city could compare to new york. Chicago is not a smaller new york

No because logic is comparing Chicago to NYC, and not every city is NYC or Chicago.

Using YOUR logic, there shouldn't be threads like this because everyone needs to buttkiss NYC.

The bottomline is this: Chicago offers what NYC but to a lesser extent. Almost every city in the USA can't compare to what these two offer. Sorry, but we ARE comparing a city to NYC no matter how hard it hurts your ego.

At this point, it seems like Chicago raises more educated citizens because I've read some ridiculous things in this thread.

Chicago cannot be compared to NYC in any way. A better comparison would be NYC vs. London.

No Chicago isn't a smaller NYC lol I never said that it was but chicago offers most of everything NYC does well at least what nyers on this board brag about we have right here in Chicago and tourist visit the city because of them....and yes there are other cities that are comparable to NYC in the u.s. Quantity wise yes NYC is in another league but quantity has nothing to do with the thread and London seems completely different than NYC lmao

Chicago offers chicago. New york offers new york. Chicago has skyscrapers and so does other city's in the states it doesnt mean they are comparable to new york because of it. I dont think the op simply wanted a "city a" has scrapers,"city b" has scrapers thus they're comparable type of thing

The dynamic of new york are far greater than that of chicago. Its not simply a matter of new york having more of anything. Nyc is quality and quantity

What aspects of NYC are people comparing to other cities??? If people can figure that out, it would give a foundation for their arguments.

No. I've been to all 3. And in the US, Chicago is a great comparison.

People aren't understanding what it is to compare lol you find similarities that what it is to compare now if you were contrasting many of your arguemets may have been valid but it was said to compare not contrast so we found similarities lol can you understand this...you guys are becoming sensitive and you're coming off as threatened because anyone with any shred of mental compentency can find similarities between NYC Philly New York and a few others lol
