Default Any one relocating to SD - help!

Hi all - my wife and I relocated to San Diego from Michigan about 2 years ago. We figured with the housing crisis and everything, it was a good time to buy a house. We paid $275k for a nice little 2 bedroom about 8-9 minutes from downtown and we have LOVED it. It is a rock solid, beautiful house.

Unfortunately, I have to move for work again to the LA area and we need to sell. Apparently the real estate market has crumbled significantly since we bought the house because we are struggling to sell. We just dropped the price to $260k which will result in a huge loss for us after commissions and taxes are figured in.

Anyone moving to SD want a solid house? There are a lot of crappy homes for sale in SD for under $300k. I promise this is not one of them. I posted links and pics here if anyone wants more info:

I have driven past your house since it was listed (I live in LG). Its certainly nicer than some of the other homes that are on the market within 2 miles at least, thats for certain.

One of the problems right now is that lending standards are back to normal. I would say a good majority of credit worthy buyers or first time buyers that would qualify still think they are going to get a better deal than Lemon Grove type of area for a decent sized SFH ~$300k so they are holding out. Some others are realizing what 300k gets you and are just giving up completely because they dont feel it gets "good enough".

Unfortunately LG for some reason does not have a very attractive stigma to it. There are more obvious reasons why, like Broadway and the weirdos near the trolley station. But other than that, there is a perceived notion its just not good enough for them.

I think you staged the house correctly from the photos but the market to sell is tough right now. I wish you luck and hope you get some decent folks to buy your house.

Thanks man - I know what you're saying about Lemon Grove, but I think it is a pretty interesting place to live. Guess I just need to find the right buyer who agrees with me.
