Also, I think "dental laboratory technician" is called "dental assistant" here in the States. Just so your search doesn't confuse you.

Dear Venessa.
I would advise you to use googles search engin, write Dental laboratories California, and press , you will see a few dental laboratories , , usualy a well known Dental labs are listed, and are willing to pay good for a qalified technician and hope to keep their technicians for ever, in most times they are involved in educational programs where they teach and upgrade their staff dental knowledge which is highly recomended for every technician to stay updated in this field.
you can contact them , I wish a good luck with your future move.
Iam a certiefied Dental Technician too,and owner of a full service dental lab in Montreal canada planing a future relocation in US, Tempa or Bradenton /Sarasota.
I wish you all the best and prosperous future

I don't know where you got your education, but if it was in Germany, you may have to take a lot of classes to qualify in the US for the same job. You need to research this. My best friend has been a dental assistant for 30 years and can hardly find enough work in LA to stay alive.

There is such thing as a dental technician in the usa because i am one, there is also a dental assistant there two very different jobs. The dental assistant assists in helping the dentist. The Dental Tech makes crowns bridges partials dentures and so on and so on...prosthetics for the dentists.

Smile no classes needed

You dont need to take classes in the USA for this job, you just have to know what you are doing. But there isnt a whole lot of work in the dental field what so ever but if your a good ceramist, you might have a shot.
