Default Free Kittens

During the winter I adopted a homeless mother cat and a kitten that were living in the foundation of a house next to mine. I started to gain their trust by feeding them there after the former tenants left and eventually I coaxed them over to my place and took them in. Since that time the mother cat gave birth to four kittens in late April. Now the one from the first litter is close to a full grown cat. I am keeping one new kitten and the mother cat and the older kitten.

I've got three kittens that are now 8 weeks old and I've been trying to find either a shelter or home for them here in the Kansas City area. No takers. Apparently the shelters are filled and cats are not in demand like dogs around here. I can't handle the expense or work involved with keeping 7 cats.

By any chance does anyone know of a shelter or perhaps a family member or friend that would like a free kitten? I am more than willing to drive up to Iowa to deliver one or all to anyone that might be interested. Two are Tiger's and mostly grey in color with a bit of white and one is an off white. They are typical kittens in that they are playful and also sleep a lot. They are generally friendly but cautious at times with people but that is normal for most young kittens.

Any ideas or any takers?

Would post llyers at different vet offices in your area - take pictures and have drop-down phone #'s - maybe the vet would even be interested in taking them, vetting them and placing them. Best of luck

First of all, thank you for caring for these poor kittens.

Like honeycrisp said, try putting up flyers at local vet offices, libraries, and even walmarts.
If your local paper has a free classified posters, try mentioning your situation there, or if you're on social networking sites, try posting it to your friends.

Whatever you do, please, PLEASE make sure that you find a 'no-kill' shelter.
