Anyone relocating to the Washington DC area and looking for a 5 bedroom house located in a quiet neighborhood?? The house has two car garage and located less than a mile from George Washington's Historic house in MountVernon, Virginia (13 miles from Washington DC and 6.5 miles south of Old Town Alexandria, VA) We are selling our house because my wife and I are relocating to Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately, we cannot afford to hire a realtor. We are trying to sell the house as soon as possible without realtors involved. We are trying to save $36k-$40k so we can be close to breaking even. By doing this, we can lower the price and pass this savings to the buyers and hopefully sell the house fast. Last November 2007, Wells Fargo Bank (mortgage lien holder) has assessed the value of the house at $657,000. We are selling it for $600,000.
